Youngsters Running Wild near Lackford Lakes

Join us for an exciting outdoor discovery and play session for children aged 18 months to 5 years at Lackford Lakes Nature Reserve. This family-friendly event, known as Wild Tots, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Located at the meeting point (to be confirmed, please check the Suffolk Wildlife Trust events page or contact Lackford Lakes Nature Reserve directly), the session will be led by the Engagement Officer. The routes are accessible to those using mobility aids, pushchairs, or bicycles, making it an inclusive experience for all.

Please note that booking is required as places are limited. Some places may be available on the day, but it's best to call ahead to confirm. Babies in arms or in pushchairs are welcome to accompany an older sibling to the session.

The session will involve a small amount of walking, so we recommend wearing clothes that can get muddy and bringing a change of clothes if needed. Wellies can be useful, and don't forget to pack a snack and drink for your little one.

At Lackford Lakes, you'll find an accessible toilet with baby changing facilities, and a hearing loop is available for those who require it. The event takes place outdoors, so weather conditions may affect accessibility. For full event terms and conditions, visit the Suffolk Wildlife Trust website.

Bicycle parking is available at the venue, and it's worth mentioning that Lackford Lakes centre is equipped with an accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.
