On Thursday, 29th May, the 2nd International Forum of Creative Industries 'Made on the Far East' commenced at the creative hub 'District of Labor' in Yakutsk. The event was attended by Russia's Deputy Minister for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, Elvira Nurgaliyeva. 'We stand on the grounds of the first creative cluster in the Far East. Yakutia leads the way, inspiring us to innovate.'

Yakutsk Hosts Second International Forum of Creative Industries

Yakutsk, on May 29, witnessed the commencement of the II International Forum of Creative Industries "Made on the Far East" in the creative cluster "Labor Quarter". Elvira Nurgalieva, Deputy Minister of Russia for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, graced the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Nurgalieva highlighted, "We are in the first creative cluster in the Far East. Yakutia is paving the way forward in creation. The infrastructure here is working efficiently. This year, a creative cluster will emerge in Kamchatka, and in the following years, in Blagoveshchensk and Vladivostok. Here, we are excited to observe how the republic leads in forming this environ, setting an example for other regions."

Nurgalieva underscored the importance of not just initiating educational programs and cultivating spaces for new ideas but also developing a comprehensive ecosystem, providing support, identifying talents, and adopting an approach tailored to each individual – be it support measures, companionship, or access to external markets.

The deputy minister also acknowledged the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)'s innovative "accompaniment system," crediting it for the region's status as the most creative in Russia last year.

The forum, scheduled from May 29 to 31 across various city platforms, is attended by representatives from 39 regions of the country. Further details about the program can be found here.

At the II International Forum of Creative Industries, an emphasis was placed on the development of a comprehensive ecosystem for interior-design and lifestyle in homes and garden, as Yakutia leads the way in fostering creativity and nurturing talent. The upcoming creative clusters in Kamchatka, Blagoveshchensk, and Vladivostok are expected to further promote these sectors, demonstrating a country-wide focus on innovation.
