The celebration commenced with a parade featuring members of the society, dressed in traditional uniforms, marching through the streets of Wersten. The parade was a vibrant display of the society's history, engaging the local community and attracting spectators who lined the streets.

Music Groups Adding to the Festive Atmosphere

Multiple music groups, including brass bands and marching bands, performed throughout the event. Their renditions of traditional shooting society tunes and popular festivities music helped maintain the celebratory spirit.

Coronation of New Majesties

A highlight of the celebration was the coronation ceremony, where Sascha Brunder and his wife Sabrina were crowned the new King and Queen (Majesties) of the St. Sebastianus Shooting Society. The ceremony followed longstanding customs and was warmly received by attendees.

Youth Representation and New Leadership

The youth was well-represented in the celebration, with Ida Kröger crowned the new Youth Queen and Jonathan Haas becoming the new Junior Shooting King. The Pioneer Company, the Andreas Hofer Company, the 1st Hunter Society, and the St. Hubertus Company were among the companies celebrating the jubilee.

Weather Affecting the Celebration

The weather on Saturday affected the celebration, causing the tattoo after the festive service to be a washout. However, the fun continued in the festival tent at the youth shooters' evening.

A Successful Event

The event was a resounding success, thanks in part to the efforts of Michael Schulz, the shooting chief, who celebrated his birthday on Sunday. Oberst Klemens Hähnsdiek was thanked for the successful parade. Mayor Keller also attended and congratulated the Wersten shooters, bringing a gift for the shooting society.
