Weekend Closure: Koblenz Wine Festival 2025 Concludes with Final Celebration at Ufer-Bar
The picturesque city of Koblenz by the water is set to host the grand finale of the Koblenz Wine Festival 2025 on Saturday, 12th July. The event will take place at the Riverside Bar, which has been integrated into the Wine Festival as a permanent festival location at the castle steps.
The highlight of the event is the announcement of the "Wine Kaiser Wine 2025" at 4:15 PM. Sonja Christ-Brendemühl and the Mayor will announce the winning wine, which will receive a certificate and a special trophy, a unique piece from the ceramic manufactory of the Benedictine Abbey of Maria Laach.
The program for the finale includes a welcome speech by Mayor David Langner at 4 PM, followed by the announcement of the "Wine Kaiser Wine 2025". Musical entertainment will be provided by the acoustic duo "Sticky & Strange" from 4:30 PM to 8 PM.
The Riverside Bar will remain open until midnight, offering a perfect opportunity for wine lovers to celebrate the festival's closing. From the following day, 15th July, the Riverside Bar will reopen as a regular meeting point on the Rhine. From July 15th to October, the Riverside Bar will be open daily - weather permitting - and operated by various Koblenz catering businesses.
The Koblenz Wine Festival 2025 attracted approximately 45,000 visitors to Koblenz, with a total of 20,000 bottles of the eleven festival wines being sold. The festival not only catered to wine enthusiasts but also contributed to the idea of a city by the water, offering a home not only to wine lovers but also to the city's vibrant culture.
For those interested in future wine-related events in the region, the Middle Moselle Wine Festival takes place in September, featuring wine tastings, culinary delights, and live music, though the exact location is not specified as Koblenz. The Rudesheim Wine Festival, held in August, is another significant event in the region, but it is not in Koblenz.
Koblenz Tourism invites attendees to the festive closing ceremony of the Koblenz Wine Festival 2025. Jan Moryson from Koblenz Tourism states that the Riverside Bar has been integrated into the Wine Festival, creating a permanent festival location that promises to continue hosting similar events in the future.
At the Riverside Bar, a home-and-garden for both wine lovers and Koblenz's vibrant culture, an outdoor-living experience can be expected even after the Koblenz Wine Festival 2025. From July 15th to October, the Riverside Bar will reopen, offering a lifestyle immersed in wine and culture by the water.
