A unique pink diamond engagement ring, set in a Bulgari creation, is set to be one of the highlights of the upcoming Bolaffi jewelry auction. Known as a unicum, this exquisite piece is estimated to sell for between 800,000-1,200,000 euros.

The 'Trombino' Bulgari ring, with its vintage design, platinum setting, and a three-carat natural fancy intense pink diamond, will be auctioned on Tuesday, October 7, in Sala Bolaffi, Turin, and online live mode on Wednesday, October 8. The identity of the ring's owner remains undisclosed.

The ring's pink diamond, accompanied by 64 round brilliant and baguette-cut diamonds, is a rectangular step-cut weighing over three carats. This rare and invaluable gem, initially believed to be a simple pink quartz, was revealed to be one of the rarest diamonds in the world during an evaluation by auction house experts.

The pink diamond, with a GIA certificate stating it's Natural Fancy Intense Pink, VS2, type IIa, is considered one of the most sought-after and coveted engagement rings in the world. Matteo Armandi, head of the Passion division of Aste Bolaffi, comments that the winning bidder will acquire not only an incredible diamond but a unique and unrepeatable jewel.

The Bolaffi auction catalog features nearly 530 lots, spanning from the early 1800s to the early 2000s. The pink diamond engagement ring, passed down from grandmother to granddaughter, will undoubtedly be the star of the event. Its additional diamonds total 1.93 carats, adding to its overall value.

The pink diamond engagement ring, with its vintage 'Trombino' Bulgari design from the early 1970s, is a rare find in the world of jewelry. The auction will be a remarkable opportunity for collectors and diamond enthusiasts to acquire this exceptional piece.
