Night at the Museum: Dortmund Police Headquarters - A Unique Experience Awaits

Mark your calendars for the 25th DEW21 Night at the Museum, happening on September 20, 2025, at the Dortmund Police Headquarters. This exciting event, located at Markgrafenstraße 102, 44139 Dortmund, promises a fascinating exploration into the world of policing.

The Night at the Museum features an array of interactive experiences, including guided tours of the police detention cells, hourly between 4 and 9 PM. Free tickets for these tours are available 30 minutes before each tour in the foyer. Group size per tour is limited to 15 people to ensure an intimate experience.

Visitors can also secure their own fingerprints with forensic experts, test their skills on an impairment goggles course, and try on police uniforms and protective gear. For the younger ones, the puppet theater will be putting on performances of 'Moses Becomes a Police Dog' at 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30 PM.

Police dogs will demonstrate their skills at three performances (4, 5, and 6 PM), showcasing their remarkable abilities. If you're interested in trying out shooting with an air pistol, the Police Sports Club offers this opportunity for youths aged 14 and above, with the consent of a legal guardian.

The Night at the Museum also includes an exhibition, 110, which can be explored with an audio guide. From 4 PM onwards, visitors can view old and current police vehicles, including a vintage VW T3, at the main entrance.

Crime prevention experts will be on hand to provide advice on home security and answer questions about cybercrime and fraud. For the latest information, visit the Dortmund Police website or social media channels.

Please note that the program may be subject to operational requirements and could be canceled at short notice due to major incidents. Public transportation is recommended to reach the Police Headquarters.

Press inquiries should be directed to Tobias Nico Boccarius, a contact person at the Dortmund police, primarily functioning as a press or public relations officer, handling journalist inquiries related to police matters in Dortmund.

We look forward to welcoming you at the Night at the Museum at Dortmund Police Headquarters!
