Training sessions geared towards the youngest group!
The small schoolyard of a comprehensive school on Cologne Street 25, next to the evangelical church, will play host to a fun and educational event on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The Balance Bike Course in Cologne is being organised by the local cycling association, in cooperation with Stadtverkehr Euskirchen GmbH, and is funded by the Cologne Regional Government as part of a larger promotion of local traffic safety actions for the year 2024.
Children aged two to six are warmly invited to attend the event, which runs from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Participation in the event is free, and no registration is required. Visitors are welcome to bring their own balance bike and helmet, although Radparcours.de, the event organisers from Cologne, will also provide balance bikes, age-appropriate ramps/hills, helmets, and traffic signs.
As children ride round after round on the balance bike course, they will have the opportunity to improve their balance, coordination, and confidence on a bike. Certificates will be awarded to children who complete the balance bike course at least once (while supplies last).
Multiple laps in a row or repeat visits during the event are possible, making it a great day out for young cyclists. Children and their accompanying persons are encouraged to attend and enjoy the festivities.
