Thousands attend the Old Forest Lantern Festival, with fireworks lighting up the night sky twice over.

Let's Get the Show on the Road! - Eißendorf's Scorching Fire Art and Firework Marvel captivated around 2,500 festival-goers at the 15th Lantern Festival on Wednesday night at "In der Alten Forst" school.

The evening's main event began at 6 PM on the schoolyard, where the elementary school, kindergarten, parents, and siblings gathered yet again to celebrate the enchanting lantern festival. The schoolground was bathed in a glowing red hue.

A cheerful melody welcomed festivalgoers, and a delightful spread of sausages and punch warmed up the crowd. At 6:45 PM, the real show kickstarted: first, captivating pyroartistry entertainer Flora Ignis (below in images) enchanted both kids and adults, followed by a lively parade led by marching bands, guiding many visitors on a mesmerizing tour around Eißendorf. The procession's fantastic finale always features torchbearers from the 4th grades, eagerly enjoying the spectacle.

Upon returning to the schoolyard, participants eagerly awaited the next thrill: a dazzling fireworks display illuminated the sky above the school.

Behind the magic lies Oliver Graetzer, whose impressive firework displays have thrilled enthusiasts from near and far for years. Firework enthusiasts are already eagerly anticipating the dazzling innovations of the upcoming New Year's Eve celebration on www.feuerwerk-harburg.de.

"We're overjoyed to see many getting together to organize a unique festival for our children and guests. The fire show and the fireworks were, of course, jaw-dropping," said school principal Andreas Wiedemann.

Regarding the fire artist, Flora Ignis, a thorough search does not yield specific information about a person or event of that name in relation to the Eissendorf lantern festival. It is possible that "Ignis" is a stage name or a reference to the Latin term for fire (ignis), but without additional context, it is unclear if this is relevant to the query about Flora Ignis.

Other festival-goers might be drawn to the upcoming home-and-garden segment that includes outdoor-living demonstrations, showcasing tips for creating a magical fire art setup for future festivals. The other lifestyle choices to make attending the upcoming New Year's Eve celebration even more memorable could involve exploring food and drink options, perhaps including local sausages and punch recipes.
