Center Parcs Bispinger Heide Unveils Innovative News Home
After a €33 million renovation during the coronavirus period, Center Parcs Bispinger Heide in Germany has introduced a unique home depot experience. As the first holiday park in the country, celebrating its 28th anniversary, the park is now home to an energy-independent, high-comfort bungalow that serves as a prototype for the future of Center Parcs at the Baltic Sea.
The new homedepot-style holiday home, spanning approximately 80 square meters, offers ample space for a family of six. The heart of the home is a combined living area in vibrant colors with an open kitchen, while the furnishings are open and flexible, featuring a large dining table and spacious terrace. A covered terrace, desired by guests, has been included in the new design.
In line with the park's commitment to climate and nature protection, the holiday home is equipped with a heat pump and photovoltaic system, making it energy-independent. A fireplace, however, has been omitted from the new design as it does not align with the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050.
To promote nature connection, the park offers various activities such as dream catcher making, board games from tree slices, and water filtering activities. A small retreat area has been set up for visitors to consciously experience nature, and a ranger has been hired to lead nature-focused workshops.
In addition, a 2.7-kilometer nature experience trail has been created on the grounds, leading through the adjacent nature reserve. The trail was developed in coordination with the nature conservation authority to ensure a harmonious blend of human activity and natural surroundings.
To enhance the guest experience, the park is also constructing an observation tower around an old tree, providing barrier-free access via a ramp. The tower will offer panoramic views of the park's beautiful landscape.
The renovation has also resulted in the unveiling of a prestige holiday home to the Kfw40 low-energy standard. The interior architects of the company are now tasked with addressing the challenge of providing cushions without obstructing views from the bedrooms. The holiday home's terrace, currently lacking cushions for outdoor seating, will be a focus for this design.
The new Center Parcs at the Baltic Sea is developed and operated by the Center Parcs company, known for its holiday parks across Europe. The company has prioritized nature and sustainability in its realignment, reflected in the concept of the innovative holiday home.
Finally, a wetland area has been created using overflow from the large artificially created lake, further enhancing the park's commitment to biodiversity and the preservation of natural habitats.
With these exciting new developments, Center Parcs Bispinger Heide continues to set the standard for sustainable and enjoyable holiday experiences in Germany.
