Supermarket chain, El Rancho, plans to reopen its Dallas branch in a grand celebration.
El Rancho Supermercado, a popular grocery store chain under Heritage Grocers Group (HGG), is set to reopen its Dallas-Buckner location on July 2, 2023, following significant renovations. The store, located at 1515 South Buckner, will offer a greater product assortment tailored to the preferences of the local Hispanic community, including Mexican, Venezuelan, Colombian, and Cuban residents.
The renovated store features a modernized Fresh Mercado, a vibrant produce department, an expanded Tortillería, and an updated Cocina. In addition, the store boasts a Carnicería staffed with expert carniceros, a new sushi station, and a Panadería offering specialty pastries, desserts, cakes, specialty items, and pan dulce, all baked fresh daily.
Suzy Monford, CEO of Heritage Grocers Group, expressed excitement about the renovated store, stating that it reflects the company's commitment to delivering an exceptional shopping experience that celebrates culture, quality, and authenticity.
Heritage Grocers Group has also implemented several customer-first initiatives, as revealed during GroceryTech. These initiatives aim to enhance the shopping experience through technology and analytics. The integration of predictive analytics and AI-powered operations, improved fresh prepared food strategy, smarter demand and workforce planning, operational efficiency improvements, and a technology-enabled healthy food access program are all central to this strategy.
To mark the grand reopening, a parking lot event featuring live mariachi music, folklorico dancers, product giveaways, and samplings will begin. The first 300 customers will receive a $20 El Rancho gift card and a free reusable tote bag, while supplies last.
El Rancho Supermercado is the banner of Heritage Grocers Group, the largest Hispanic and ethnic food retailer in the United States. The company operates in six states - California, Texas, Nevada, Arizona, Kansas, and Illinois - with a total of 114 stores across four banners. The Dallas-Buckner store will continue to operate daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. after its grand reopening on July 2, 2023.
