Saturday saw crowds flocking to the beaches, parks, ice cream parlors, and outdoor pools in the north, all seeking to enjoy the stunning 27-degree weather. Although the German Weather Service (DWD) reported cooler temperatures along the eastern Baltic Sea coast due to the east wind (18 to 24 degrees), places like Hamburg and Poel heated up to around 30 degrees!

But don’t let the heat fool you. The meteorologist warns us that by late Saturday afternoon, the risk of showers and thunderstorms will increase in the north, making it increasingly humid. The wind will change direction as well, making it cooler with temperatures in the range of 20 to 23 degrees.

Looking ahead to next week, the weather should stabilize again, with temperatures around 19 degrees on the islands. So if you’re looking to cool off, these islands might be the perfect spot!

As for whether the summer heat will make a comeback in northern Germany, only time will tell. The expert playfully commented that, while this summer has been rather average so far, "it will eventually flip."
