Stutensee garden and court doors to be opened for a single day of public access.
In Stutensee, the highly anticipated "Day of Open Gardens and Farms" returns this June 1st, marking the city's 50th anniversary with a myriad of activities. The event extends from 10 am to 6 pm, with over fifty gardens, farms, and nature sanctuaries opening their doors across the city's districts for exploration.
In Blankenloch, Evelyn Fleig invites visitors to her garden gallery at Westenstraße 18, which will be open between 11 am and 6 pm and feature an exhibition in an adjacent building. In Friedrichstal, Bernhard Rapp's "Wildbiene Paradise," located at Lessingstraße 28, will showcase a diverse range of wild plants, a bog bed, and several rare species between 12 pm and 6 pm. Samuel Hecht's garden, located at Spöcker Friedrichstraße 35 and featuring a pond, vegetable patch, various plants, and trees, as well as several relaxing seating areas, will be open from 11 am to 5 pm. In the Staffort district, Tanja Meier-Ramann's garden at Weingartener Straße 51 provides a chance to see a variety of herbs, berries, and perennials, opening from 10 am to 6 pm.
The Meierhof in Staffort will offer an information booth, agricultural trail, and various initiatives, such as the Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz, the Initiative Energiewende Stutensee, and the Photovoltaik-Mobil of the Umwelt- und Energieagentur Kreis Karlsruhe. The Natur- und Vogelfreunde Staffort will open their garden and beer garden between 10 am and 6 pm, with hands-on activities like building insect hotels. The Natur- und Vogelfreunde Spöck will detail their projects on their grounds, located approximately 80 meters north of the FC Spöck, open from 12 pm to 5 pm. The Pfinzhof of Jochen Hauth in Staffort will inform visitors about its work and offer samples between 1 pm and 4 pm.
The Kleintierzuchtverein Blankenloch, led by Werner Enderle, will provide guided tours of the municipal fruit trail. The tour, titled "Bee Trees - Their Importance for Honey and Wild Bees," will take place between 2 pm and 3 pm. A guided tour of the castle area at Schloss Stutensee will be available at 3 pm, with the castle offering shaded areas under trees from 2 pm to 4 pm.
