STADTRADELN Garbsen: Cyclists Cover 212,429km, Save 35 Tons CO2
The STADTRADELN cycling competition in Garbsen concluded successfully, with cyclists covering a combined total of 212,429 kilometers and saving approximately 35 tons of CO2. The city administration recognized the top performers and teams, including the 9b class of Johannes-Kepler-Gymnasium.
Harald Granow emerged as the top individual cyclist, pedaling an impressive 3,027.8 kilometers. His dedication, along with that of other cyclists, contributed to the remarkable total distance covered during the event. The city administration rewarded the top ten individual cyclists with vouchers for bicycle shops, while team captains received raffle prizes such as water bottles, backpacks, STADTRADELN bags, and T-shirts.
Mayor Claudio Provenzano expressed his gratitude to all participants for their commitment to environmental and climate security. The city administration hosted a barbecue for 70 successful cyclists to celebrate their achievements. The best classes from secondary schools and primary schools were also recognized, with the 9b class of Johannes-Kepler-Gymnasium and Grundschule Stelingen among the recipients of cash and prizes.
