Sovereign Housing Brings 69 Eco-Friendly Homes to Devon by Summer 2026
Sovereign Housing Association has received planning approval for a 69-home development in Devon. The site is expected to be completed by summer 2026, with construction starting soon after detailed planning consent was granted at the end of last year.
The development will feature a mix of one and two-bed maisonettes, bungalows, and two-storey homes. Notably, all homes will exceed national space standards and promote natural daylight for improved health and wellbeing. They will be constructed using sustainable materials and timber frames, with each home equipped with an air source heat pump and sustainable heating system.
The development also includes a mix of green infrastructure, public open space, and a play area. To reduce energy costs and meet net zero targets, photovoltaic solar panels will be installed. Of the 69 homes, 36 will be available for social rent, and 33 for shared ownership.
The completion of this development by summer 2026 will provide Devon with 69 new homes, promoting sustainable living and affordable housing options. Sovereign Housing Association's commitment to sustainability is evident in the design and features of these homes.
