In a significant stride towards sustainable transportation, Sono Group N.V. (OTCQB: SEVCF) unveiled their innovative solar technology at the MVG's west depot in Munich Laim. The solar bus, attended by Munich Vice Mayor Katrin Habenschaden, promises to be a cornerstone for climate-friendly mobility.

Sono Group's solar technology is specifically designed for integration into a wide range of vehicles, including e-buses. The solar bus kit, equipped with 16 solar panels, operates with an advanced solar charge controller managing eight zones for maximum sunlight efficiency. The benefits for public transport operators are manifold. Lower operational costs are achieved due to decreased fuel and energy consumption. Since the beginning of 2021, Sono Group has signed more than ten LOIs and contracts with companies such as MAN, easymile, or ARI Motors.

The solar energy generated is used to operate the HVAC system, support the trailer steering system, and stabilize the battery's energy supply. The solar charge controller developed by Sono Group optimizes the energy yields of the PV modules. The company's disruptive solar technology has been engineered to be seamlessly integrated into a variety of vehicle architectures, including third-party OEM cars, buses, refrigerated vehicles, and recreational vehicles.
