In the vibrant city of Bonn, seniors are embracing e-bikes as a convenient mode of daily mobility. In a bid to enhance safety for this growing group of cyclists, the Bonn Police have announced a two-day e-bike course specifically for seniors.

The course, which is set to take place on October 15 and 17, 2025, will be held at Landgrabenweg 150, 53227 Bonn, in the parking lot at the skate park. The Bonn Police are conducting the course, and it will run from 10:00 to 12:30 each day.

The course is free of charge and is designed to provide senior e-bike riders with essential information on proper e-bike handling. It focuses on the joy of riding and mutual support, without any pressure to perform. Registration can be done via email at [email protected], and for current information, you can follow the Bonn Police on their WhatsApp channel at https://t1p.de/v1grf.

Last year, under the jurisdiction of the Bonn Police, 263 e-bike accidents occurred, with approximately 25% involving seniors. The course aims to increase safety for senior e-bike riders in Bonn and may help reduce the number of e-bike accidents involving seniors.

For any inquiries about the course, you can contact the Bonn Police Press Office at 0228 - 151023 or via fax at 0228-151202. The Bonn Police's website is available at https://bonn.polizei.nrw.
