Secured Perimeter: Göhlbachtal Park now inaccessible due to full fencing

The Park im Goehlbachtal in Harburg, Germany, is currently under a complete closure and will remain so until July 16th. The closure, announced by the district office a few weeks ago, is due to visitors not adhering to the notice to only walk on the paths and refrain from riding bikes, scooters, and other vehicles.

Sabine Müller, the spokesperson for the district, explained the closure. She stated, "The new paths in the park are being constructed to last and be aesthetically pleasing. However, the additional costs for the repairs are a result of visitors not adhering to the initial notice."

The closure includes the area from Hastedtweg to Bremer Straße at the height of the Handelsschule. Initially, the closure only affected bicycles, scooters, and other vehicles, but it has now been extended to include pedestrians for the safety and integrity of the new paths.

Sandra Stolle, another spokesperson for the district office, further elaborated, "The closure is part of the ongoing upgrades and modernization of the park. New paths are being constructed as part of the upgrade."

The park's closure lasts for approximately four weeks. Some sections of the path now require repair, incurring additional costs. Despite the inconvenience, the district office is committed to ensuring the park's long-term sustainability and aesthetic appeal.

Visitors are advised to respect the closure and wait for the park's reopening on July 16th. The district office appreciates the public's understanding and cooperation during this period.
