Searching for the creators of Leipzig's future - Leipziger Future Prize 2025/26
The Leipzig Future Prize 2025/26 is now open for applications, offering a platform for diverse contributions to implementing global sustainability goals locally. This year, the Leipzig Future Prize has three categories: Category A is for long-running activities of associations and initiatives that have made a special commitment to sustainable development in the city of Leipzig and have achieved tangible effects. Category B is for new projects or ideas from associations and initiatives that can be realized with support from the Forum for Sustainable Leipzig. Category C is for small and medium-sized enterprises that carry out exemplary activities or projects, aligning their business activities and further developing their operational processes to support sustainable development within and beyond the company.
A project fund is available from the Forum for Sustainable Leipzig to provide seed money for new projects from initiatives and associations. The cash prizes for the Leipzig Future Prize are awarded during an annual ceremony, expected to take place in spring 2026.
