Roo contemplates plans for adoption of Cohen in upcoming episodes of Home and Away.
After nearly 37 years of filming its outdoor scenes at Palm Beach, New South Wales, the long-running Australian soap opera "Home and Away" is set to break new ground. For the first time in its history, the series will film special episodes in Western Australia, marking a significant expansion for the show.
The new production phase, scheduled for October 2025, will see the cast and crew travel across several Western Australian locations. These include the cosmopolitan city of Perth, the rugged coastline, and the expansive red outback. The move is part of a "massive" and "ambitious, high-stakes" storyline aimed at showcasing Western Australia's natural beauty and diverse landscapes while promoting the state as a tourism destination.
Five episodes will be dedicated to highlighting Western Australia to both domestic and international audiences, including the UK market, where the show has around 250,000 viewers per episode. The production collaboration involves Tourism Western Australia and the WA Government.
In the meantime, the series continues its regular broadcast, with Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker) taking foster child Cohen Luther (Nathan Murray) to the hospital after he shows signs of illness. Roo feels guilty for not recognizing Cohen's symptoms sooner and taking action, while Sonny Baldwin (Ryan Bown) finds himself caught in the middle of the break-up between Bree Cameron and Remi Carter.
