In the heart of Cheshire, a new private family home has emerged, blending modern design with traditional aesthetics. The Smithy Lane House, with its parapet gabled walls and pitched slate roofs, is a contemporary retelling of traditional vernacular domestic architecture.

The cruciform plan of the house, designed by Ian Scullion, Associate at Fasciato Architects, provides a unique layout that is both functional and visually appealing. Fasciato Architects, renowned for their work on successful and award-winning restaurant designs, have also taken on the challenge of interior design for the Smithy Lane House. Their expertise is evident in the carefully chosen color and material schemes, as well as the custom-designed bar counters, back bars, serveries, built-in furniture, and lighting.

The exterior of the Smithy Lane House is made of white render and masonry, with traditional architectural details such as exposed rafter ends, stone copings, and brick chimneys. Large expanses of glazing, including a central, large, bespoke glazed lantern, flood the entrance hall with light and air, creating a bright and spacious living environment.

But the Smithy Lane House is not just a visual feast; it is also a model of sustainability. The house boasts a high performing building fabric and uses sustainable technologies, resulting in a high standard 5-star EPC rating and SAP Band A rating.

HD Building Company, led by Rick Walker, were the main contractors for the Smithy Lane House project. Their expertise in construction, combined with Fasciato Architects' design vision, has resulted in a stunning home that seamlessly integrates modern design with traditional charm.

While the search results do not provide information on which company conducted the project for the new construction of the Smithy Lane House, it is clear that the collaboration between Fasciato Architects, HD Building Company, and the electrical contractors from Fylde Coast Rewires has resulted in a truly remarkable home.

Fylde Coast Rewires, registered with Elecsa for all domestic rewiring work and Part P certification work, and the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) for all commercial work, have been providing professional electrical rewiring services since 2013. They have a focus on training apprentices to address the industry's lack of qualified technicians, and they are also registered with CHAS, demonstrating their commitment to health and safety.

The Smithy Lane House is more than just a beautiful home; it is a testament to the power of collaboration and the fusion of traditional and modern design. As Cheshire's newest addition to its architectural landscape, it is sure to inspire and delight for years to come.
