Rerouting of Bus Lines 3 and 13 for Warmth on Liebigstraße
In the heart of Gießen, the stop "Welcker Street" on Liebig Street is currently inaccessible due to ongoing construction work. This closure is part of the Municipal Heat Planning and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026, subject to weather conditions during the upcoming winter.
Bus lines 3 and 13 are being rerouted as a result of this closure. Passengers are advised to follow the new route via Aulweg and Leihgesterner Weg between the stops "Ulner Dreieck" and "Röntgenstraße". A corresponding replacement stop on Aulweg has been set up for the convenience of commuters.
For those who may be affected by this closure, SWG (Stadtwerke Gießen) will provide regular updates on the construction progress and completion. Ulli Boos, the corporate spokesperson of SWG, will communicate these updates to the public and media.
