Regensburg's Winery Completes Organic Transition
Regensburg's winery has transitioned to organic farming, completing the conversion in 2023. The city joined Bioland e. V., ensuring strict organic standards. The first organic grapes were harvested in 2024, and the wine cellar gained organic certification.
The garden office started the conversion in 2020, transforming the wine-growing area to organic-biological farming. By 2023, the process was complete.

On August 13, 2025, Bioland e. V. and the city's winery signed a contract at the municipal vineyard. Mayor Ludwig Artinger, garden office representatives, and Bioland consultant Christian Ehrlich attended the ceremony, symbolising the city's commitment to organic farming.
