Recycled artworks from Every Can Counts make their way to City Grill Group's restaurants, transforming sustainability into a vivid, visual encounter for patrons to enjoy.

In Bucharest, the "I CAN" tour by Every Can Counts has been captivating audiences with large-scale artworks made entirely from recycled aluminium drink cans. These installations, on display at five City Grill Group restaurants from July 15 to 30, are transforming recycling and sustainability messages into engaging visual art [1].

Partners of the "I CAN" tour include wall-street.ro, start-up.ro, retail.ro, Alucro Association, CANPACK Recycling, CANPACK Romania, Bringo Romania, and restaurants within City Grill Group. The tour is a testament to the growing trend in urban sustainability, using public art to inspire environmental action through everyday interactions [2].

David Van Heuverswyn, Global Director of Every Can Counts, stated that City Grill restaurants are the perfect setting to amplify sustainability messages due to their diverse audience [2]. The installations, such as a moon (I CAN DREAM), a flower and butterfly (I CAN GROW & I CAN FLY), a wheel (I CAN CONTINUE), a heart (I CAN LOVE), and an eye (I CAN IMAGINE), have been engaging thousands of visitors, making sustainability a visible part of daily life [1].

Every Can Counts is a partnership between drink can manufacturers and European aluminium can sheet producers that inspires, encourages, and empowers people to recycle their drink cans. In Romania, the initiative is supported by CANPACK, a major producer of aluminium beverage cans, and the four major aluminium can sheet manufacturers and recyclers [3].

According to an Every Can Counts analysis, the aluminium can recycling rate in Romania more than doubled from 35% in 2022 to over 74% in early 2025 [3]. The Reveal Study on sustainability and the SGR system found that 21% of Romanians would recycle more with more educational and informative campaigns [4].

Ramona Popescu, Head of Marketing and Customer Experience at City Grill Group, stated that hosting the Every Can Counts installations fits perfectly with the company's vision of turning familiar spaces into prompts for meaningful conversations about sustainability [1]. After Bucharest, the "I CAN" tour will continue in other major cities including Cluj and Timișoara in the coming months.

Every Can Counts has branches in 18 countries across Europe, US, UAE, and Brazil, and has signed up hundreds of organizations to the programme. More details about the Every Can Counts initiative are available on everycancounts.eu [3]. Initiatives like "I CAN" play a vital role in raising awareness and turning recycling into a visible, everyday habit.
