Pursuing a Zero-Waste Ambition!

Let's dive into our mission of minimizing waste and protecting the planet. We're not just talking trash reduction within our company, but also in our customer interactions.

Packaging is a major challenge, but we've got some clever solutions up our sleeves. Take our parcel packaging, for instance. We reuse cardboard boxes from suppliers, use eco-friendly materials like paper padding, and experiment with Kraft paper adhesive tape for a fully recyclable package.

When it comes to product packaging, we prioritize reusable, recyclable, or compostable materials. Our kombucha scobies come in 500ml glass containers, while individual packaging is kept to a minimum. Our kombucha kits are packaged in durable cardboard boxes.

Hey, remember those tea bags we include with kombucha kits? Well, they're a real game-changer. Unlike traditional tea bags made from plastic or synthetic materials, ours are compostable. They're made from a 100% compostable resin – yep, you heard that right – the lactic fermentation of glucose from starch! Thanks to good ol' Camellia Sinensis, we've got an eco-friendly, biodegradable solution right here.

Now, we're not claiming to be perfect, but we're always looking for ways to do better. If you've got ideas on how we can reduce our impact, we're all ears! And if you're eager to help our cause, check out our sustainable fermentation products.

Curious about the details behind our compostable tea bags? Most compostable tea bags on the market are made from plant-based materials like polylactic acid (PLA) or cellulose. PLA, derived from the fermentation of glucose from crops like corn or sugarcane, is the material in our tea bags. So, there you have it – a little insight into our eco-friendly packaging choices.

Embracing the principle of sustainable living, we expand our eco-friendly practices beyond our company to our customers' interactions. Our reusable kombucha scobies come in recyclable glass containers, while we minimise individual packaging. Meanwhile, our compostable tea bags, crafted from 100% compostable resin, are a notable initiative in environmental-science, contributing to climate-change mitigation efforts. By adopting such practices, we strive to enhance our lifestyle, incorporating home-and-garden principles to promote sustainable-living.
