Playground Unveiling at Hastedtplatz: Clearing and Preparation of Trails for Opening
New Hastedtplatz Playground Opens in Harburg
The Hastedtplatz Playground in Harburg officially opened its doors on Tuesday, marking the first part of a series of measures to improve selected areas in the Göhlbachtal.
The playground, designed in the shape of a lizard, offers a variety of activities for younger children. It includes balancing, climbing, and sliding elements, as well as a new swing, balancing elements, a digging table, and new seating platforms.
The lizard-shaped playground is just one part of the redesign. Renewed paths and a new wooden bridge are now available for walking in the area. Fitness equipment for bodyweight training will be installed in the Göhlbachtal during another construction phase, starting from July 2024.
To celebrate the inauguration, Salvatore Sabbatino, a Guinness World Record holder in balloon modeling, will perform balloon twisting and magic tricks. The Falkenflitzer playmobile team will ensure playful movement at the playground. An interactive program for movement, crafting, and building will take place from 3:00 to 5:30 PM on Tuesday.
Exploration is encouraged around the new playground, with an exploration course available. A new rest and viewing point with new benches, seating steps, and new planting will be created on the east side of the Lohmühlenteich during the construction phase starting from July 2024.
The paths around the Lohmühlenteich will be connected to form a circular path during the same construction phase. However, specific information about upcoming improvements or construction plans for the Göhlbachtal area, including the Hastedtplatz Playground and fitness station, could not be found.
For current and precise information on planned developments or renovations in the Göhlbachtal area, local municipal websites, community newsletters, or city planning documents would be the best sources.
