The popular Ringallee Open-Air Bath in Giessen, Germany, has concluded its 2024 season after a total of 133 opening days. Despite the cool and gloomy weather that marked the summer holidays, approximately 91,000 guests visited the bath during the season.

This number, however, is around 10,000 fewer than the previous year, falling short of the bath's expectations for the season. Uwe Volbrecht, the Director of the Giessen Baths, expressed satisfaction with the 2024 season, acknowledging the impact of the weather on visitor numbers.

The Ringallee Open-Air Bath is a well-loved destination for locals and tourists alike. For those planning a visit, current information on opening times, courses, and admission prices can be found on the official website, www.giessener-baeder.de.

During the maintenance period, the outdoor fitness devices will be installed on the grounds of the former mini-golf course. Four devices will be added to the bath's grounds, offering visitors additional ways to stay active. The indoor baths, Ringallee Indoor Bath and West Bath, will remain open for bath guests during this period.

The Ringallee Open-Air Bath will reopen at the beginning of May 2026, ready to welcome visitors once more.

In addition to the bath's regular offerings, the "Play Your Game" City Day took place at the Ringallee Open-Air Bath on June 29, 2024. Seven sports clubs from Giessen and the surrounding region participated, showcasing various sports, including lesser-known ones like floorball. Around 4,500 visitors attended the event.

Unfortunately, the search results do not contain specific information about the names of the sports clubs that attended the "Play Your Game" City Day in 2023 and presented their offers to the public.

As the 2024 season comes to a close, the Giessen Baths will undergo maintenance and repairs during the break between the autumn closure and the opening in the coming spring.

Rainy July contributed to the expectation that visitor records would not be broken in 2024. Nevertheless, the Ringallee Open-Air Bath continues to be a beloved destination for many, offering a refreshing escape on warm days and a vibrant community gathering space throughout the year.
