Newest pizza establishment in State College offers Detroit-style pizzas and various other options on their menu
Fresh Bite Pizza, a new pizza shop, has recently opened its doors at 300 S. Pugh St. in State College, Pennsylvania. The location was previously occupied by 8 Mile Pizza, which closed in mid-February.
Jesse Stutz, who managed 8 Mile Pizza, is working at Fresh Bite Pizza as an all-around "helping hand." He was contacted by the landlord to establish Fresh Bite Pizza and showcased his Detroit-style pizza repertoire. Stutz expressed hope that customers will find everything they loved about 8 Mile Pizza and more at Fresh Bite Pizza.
The new pizza shop aims to cater to fans of Detroit-style pizza and more, offering both old-fashioned 8 Mile classics and new menu items. The menu includes a variety of pizzas, sandwiches, pasta dishes, salads, and snacks. Customers can choose from options like halal pepperoni, mango slices, blanco verde pizza, and a "bazooka launcher" pizza.
Chicken wings are available coated in buffalo, barbecue, mango habanero, honey mustard, and hot honey sauces. Customers can place orders online or by calling 814-777-8550.
Fresh Bite Pizza's hours of operation are expected to be from 11 a.m. to around 9 or 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with potential late-night hours on Fridays and weekends. As of early July 2025, the shop is open and operational locally, according to the latest report. However, delivery on Uber Eats was closed as of late June 2025.
