Today, Tuesday, a riotous scene unfolded in the lobby of Harburg Town Hall. A swarm of 12 pint-sized troublemakers, hailing from the Harmsstraße Kindergarten, invaded the premises at high noon. Their mission? To deck the halls with holiday cheer by setting up a magnificent Christmas tree.
Two factions from the kindergarten's elementary division, accompanied by kindergarten teacher Aynur Bulut and Karina Mercan, the mother of one of the ringleaders, arrived at the town hall carrying a horde of self-crafted ornaments. For the past few weeks, the 50 mischievous youngsters from the kindergarten have been busy building these tree adornments, and they were more than eager to showcase their craftsmanship.
Deputy head of the district office, Dierk Trispel, greeted the gang with open arms and a gentle smile. Christmas tunes filled the air, setting the right atmosphere for the decoration ritual to begin. Dierk Trispel expressed his delight with the end result: "You've all done an excellent job! I'm absolutely thrilled and want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!" In return for their hard work, the kindergarten was rewarded with its very own Christmas tree and a mountain of healthy snacks, including apples and mandarins.
