Kamchatka Unveils 2025 Calendar of Historic Dates
Kamchatka region has unveiled its 'Calendar of significant dates' for 2025. The calendar honours key anniversaries of notable individuals and events that have shaped the region's development.
The calendar highlights several significant milestones. It marks the 80th anniversary of the opening of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sea Port, a vital gateway for the region's trade and commerce. Additionally, it commemorates the 30th anniversary of the creation of South Kamchatka, Nalychevo, and Bystrinsky nature reserves, testament to the region's commitment to environmental conservation.
The calendar also acknowledges the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the regional department of ZAGS, which plays a crucial role in recording and preserving the region's demographic history.
