International Center for Music at Park University Unveils 2025-26 Performance Series

The International Center for Music (ICM) at Park University has unveiled its concert schedule for the 2025-2026 season, featuring a captivating series of 11 concerts spanning from September 5, 2025, to May 1, 2026.

The season commences on Friday, September 5, 2025, with a mesmerising performance by violist Molly Carr and pianist Anna Petrova at the 1900 Building in Mission Woods, Kansas. The season culminates on Friday, May 1, 2026, with a spellbinding concert by pianist Behzod Abduraimov, who serves as the ICM's artist-in-residence, also at the 1900 Building.

Notable guest performers for the season include violinist Shmuel Ashkenasi, the esteemed husband-and-wife duo of violinist Ben Sayevich and pianist Lolita Lisovskaya-Sayevich (both members of the ICM faculty and staff), ICM piano and strings students, and both the ICM Orchestra and ICM Chamber Orchestra, which will perform in Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel on the Park University flagship campus in Parkville.

A highlight of the season is the 7th annual "Stanislav and Friends" gala on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, Missouri. This event will showcase pianist Stanislav Ioudenitch, the ICM's founder and artistic director.

The following are the confirmed concert dates and principal performers:

  • September 5, 2025: Molly Carr (viola) and Anna Petrova (piano), 1900 Building
  • October 23, 2025: Shmuel Ashkenasi (violin), 1900 Building
  • March 21, 2026: Stanislav and Friends gala at Helzberg Hall, Kauffman Center
  • May 1, 2026: Behzod Abduraimov (piano), 1900 Building

The 7th annual Stanislav and Friends gala will be partially sponsored by Paul and Linda DeBruce. The concerts will take place at the 1900 Building in Mission Woods, Kansas, and at Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel on the University's flagship campus in Parkville.

Violinist Shmuel Ashkenasi is set to grace the stage in one of the concerts. The last concert of the season will be on Friday, May 1, 2026, featuring pianist Behzod Abduraimov. The first concert of the season will be on Friday, September 5, 2025, featuring violist Molly Carr and pianist Anna Petrova.

Park ICM piano and strings students will also perform at the 1900 Building. The International Center for Music's 2025-26 season will consist of 11 concerts. The 7th annual Stanislav and Friends gala will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, Missouri.

The husband-and-wife duo of violinist Ben Sayevich and pianist Lolita Lisovskaya-Sayevich (both members of the ICM faculty and staff) will also perform during the season.
