Introducing the Immersive Home Cinema Demo at CEDIA Expo 2025
Prepare for an unparalleled cinematic experience as the advanced 15.7.8 home cinema demonstration, showcased in Sound Room 6 (SR6) at CEDIA Expo 2025, combines the best of immersive audio and visual technologies. This demonstration, presented by StormAudio, PMC, madVR Labs, and Barco Residential, promises to deliver exceptional performance in a complex multi-channel setup, designed to meet the demands of discerning clients.
At the heart of the audio processing lies StormAudio's ISP Elite 32 Analog processor, capable of decoding and processing up to 32 channels. It supports all immersive formats via the new ADEC decoder, including Auro-3D, Dolby Atmos, MPEG-H, Sony 360 Reality Audio, and DTS:X Pro. Integrated Dirac Live Active Room Treatment ensures optimal acoustic performance, while power is supplied by six StormAudio 8-channel amplifiers, delivering high output with low distortion and precise control over complex speaker arrays.
PMC supplies all the loudspeakers in the room. The front left, center, and right channels are covered by the high-end MB2 XBD speakers, famed for their studio-grade accuracy adapted for home use. Surround sound is handled by PMC ci140 loudspeakers positioned along side and rear walls for dynamic, full-range reproduction. Overhead effects come through PMC ci65 height speakers, while six PMC BST subwoofers are strategically placed for tight, impactful low-frequency response, ensuring immersive bass integration.
MadVR Labs, known for their advanced video processing technology, contributes to the demo with the Envy Extreme 8K. This system repositions subtitles for optimal placement and readability and features AI-based 8K upscaling, providing high-fidelity video quality complementary to the audio prowess of the system. The Envy Extreme 8K also directly controls motorized screen masking without the need for a dedicated control system, offering instant aspect ratio handling.
Barco Residential, renowned for premium projection technology, provides the visual display components that match the system’s immersive audio. Their high-end Heimdall+ CS projector offers stunning picture quality using RGB laser light, delivering 6000 lumens of brightness and ultra-quiet operation with a 29 dB noise rating.
Simplified Acoustics completes the SR6 space with its new BDP acoustic panels, while MC2 Audio's D100DSP and D100ND amplifiers contribute to the audio setup. Defining Cinemas, in partnership with Eleanor Rigby Home, provides luxurious, handcrafted seating solutions for the SR6 demo.
