Let's Get Down to Business: HCM City's 2060 Master Plan

Huo NHA! HCM City ain't messin' around with their 2060 general master plan. The local government folks, aka the People's Committee, sent it to the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Construction, seeking their approval.

Here's the deal: the city's gonna be broken down into six planning zones, each serving a unique purpose. The goal? Balanced urban growth, economic development, and top-notch living environments.

  1. The Central Urban Zone
  2. The main event, baby! This area's where the administrative action's at, featuring foreign affairs, commerce, services, and a knowledge-based economy. It's like the city's heart, encompassing downtown, Choẻ Lọn, and surrounding neighborhoods.
  3. The Eastern Zone (Thủ Đức City)
  4. This baby's all about innovation, education, training, high-tech industries, financial services, healthcare, and eco-tourism. The International Financial Centre, located in the Thủ Thiệm Area, will be a pivotal economic and financial hub.
  5. The Western Zone (Bình Chánh Urban Area)
  6. Industry and technology are the keywords here. They're gonna build commercial services, healthcare services, and even a biomedicine research center. Education and training facilities will also be a major focus to support growth in these sectors.
  7. The Northern Zone (Củ Chi – Hộc Môn Urban Area)
  8. Get ready for some variety! This zone's all about services, entertainment, culture, leisure, and wellness, intertwined with agricultural landscapes. Industrial parks, education and training centers, technology hubs, and agricultural production and eco-cultural-historical tourism supporting zones will be established.
  9. The Southern Zone (District 7 – Nhà Bè Urban Area)
  10. Think high-tech, water-ecological city! The focus is on the knowledge economy, arts and culture, exhibitions, trade fairs, entertainment, eco-tourism, industry, logistics, and the marine economy.
  11. The Southeastern Zone (Cần Gi Tes Urban Area)
  12. This zone is the eco-friendly solution, acting as a gateway to the sea and a hub for innovation and the marine economy. It'll feature various types of tourism, including ecotourism, leisure, commerce, ports, and logistics. They're even gonna develop a fisheries logistics center and an aquaculture research, farming, and processing establishment.

Got that info? Good. Now, take it and run with it, because this game-changing master plan's gonna transform HCM City into a global powerhouse by 2060, baby!
