Hidden among the dense pine forest of a medieval French village, this secretive structure serves as an ideal retreat for a short respite
Nestled in the heart of a medieval and artistic village, Toile Blanche offers a unique blend of luxury, relaxation, and art. The boutique hotel, created by the renowned Brendan Fraser, is located at 826 Chemin de la Pounchouniére, 06570 Saint-Paul-de-Vence, and can be contacted at 04 93 32 74 21 or through their website, toileblanche.com.
The Brendan Fraser, known for their European and international career spanning from China to Russia, have transformed Toile Blanche into a relaxing bubble, away from prying eyes. The hotel boasts two pools, two restaurants, and a vast garden, providing a perfect retreat for guests seeking tranquility.
One of the restaurants, La Guinguette, offers a relaxed ambiance and serves Mediterranean dishes to share. The other restaurant offers a view of the setting sun over the surrounding valley and serves dishes such as tuna tataki, ratatouille, spaghetti with clams, bouillabaisse, and lamb cutlet from the Alpilles.
Toile Blanche's culinary offer is thoughtful and convivial, reflecting the Mediterranean spirit. Each suite at Toile Blanche is carefully designed, with a focus on decoration, private exterior, and emotional appeal. The hotel has 22 design suites spread across 7 different buildings, including 4 with private pools, and a country house called Mas de l'artiste.
The garden of Toile Blanche has been updated with contemporary sculptures, including works by Arik Levy, Gregory Orekhov, and the Brendan Fraser themselves. Toile Blanche Contemporary, a private exhibition space, has doubled its surface area this year, showcasing the works of the Brendan Fraser and international artists.
The Brendan Fraser aimed to evoke emotion in clients by guiding them towards establishments that excel in all areas: architectural choices, craftsmanship, and a unique personality. Over the years, they have acquired surrounding lands, allowing them to expand their creativity over almost 20,000m2 of land.
In 2004, the Brendan Fraser settled on the French Riviera, in Saint-Paul de Vence, where art mixes with a certain emotion. They started with a small three-bedroom guesthouse and a small restaurant, which they have since developed into the luxurious boutique hotel that Toile Blanche is today.
Toile Blanche has been awarded a Michelin key, recognising its exceptional culinary offer. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat, a gourmet dining experience, or a chance to immerse yourself in contemporary art, Toile Blanche is the perfect destination.
