Geneva welcomes the inauguration of its first Goodwill store at the former Tops location
Goodwill of the Finger Lakes Opens New Store in Geneva
Goodwill of the Finger Lakes has expanded its reach with the opening of a new store in Geneva, located at 381 Hamilton St. in the Geneva Shopping Center. This marks the organisation's first store in Geneva and third in Ontario County.
The store, which occupies the former Tops Friendly Markets site, has been transformed into a bright, active, and welcoming space. The retail area, after remodeling, offers ample parking and a wide mix of secondhand clothing, household goods, seasonal items, and new merchandise.
Goodwill's community impact programs, including Vision Services, the 211/LIFE LINE and 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, the Goodwill Learning Academy, workforce development, and the Good Neighbor Program, are all funded through sales at the new store. These programs support over 171,000 people across the region by providing services including mental health crisis support, education for adults earning high school diplomas, vision rehabilitation, and job training.
The store's hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays. The public can donate items at the store daily, which serves as a donation site.
Goodwill of the Finger Lakes President and CEO Jen Lake expressed gratitude for the warm welcome in Geneva. State Senator Pam Helming praised the store's opening as a "powerful example of how smart redevelopment can make a big impact."
The new store joins Goodwill's locations in Victor and Canandaigua. It is part of a 14-store network across more than 20 upstate counties.
The store's grand opening was marked with a special offer for the first 100 shoppers, who received $10 gift cards.

The new store, now located in the Geneva Shopping Center at 381 Hamilton St, offers a blend of home-and-garden items among its wide mix of secondhand clothing, household goods, and seasonal merchandise. Home-and-garden goods are crucial to Goodwill's retail area, as proceeds from their sales fund the organization's impact programs, including community development and support services that aid over 171,000 people across the region.
