Mayor Salis Celebrates First Watch with Star-Studded Gala

Mayor Silvia Salis of Genoa marked her first watch in office with a grand celebration at the Palazzo della Borsa. The evening party, which doubled as a birthday celebration for the mayor, was attended by around 200 guests, including close friends, figures from the world of sports and cinema, and local parliamentarians and regional councilors.

The mayor, who grew up in Genoa as a sportswoman and then a politician, wore a stunning long, mermaid cut dress with a heart-shaped neckline for the occasion. Her husband, Fausto Brizzi, personally handled the direction of the party as a special gift for her 40th birthday.

The Palazzo della Borsa was transformed into a magical venue, with the cake for the evening being cream and strawberries, decorated with red candles and macarons. Guests enjoyed the delicious dessert while mingling and dancing to the tunes of a live band.

Mayor Salis was seen dancing at the party, performing twist and rock moves with her guests. Politics took a backseat during the evening, with no national party leaders, controversies, or urgent programs discussed. Instead, the party was a celebration of different aspects of Genoa that the mayor has been administering for over three months.

Among the guests were Stefano Rebora, spokesperson for Music for Peace, Maurizio Felugo, former water polo player and president of Pro Recco, Evelina Christillin, and Claudio Bisio, who attended the party with his wife Sandra Bonzi. The mayor's team at Palazzo Tursi was also present, as were her campaign companions.

The mayor exchanged greetings at the Town Hall today, expressing her gratitude for the support she has received in her first year as mayor. She considers serving Genoa as the greatest gift for her 40th anniversary as mayor. However, the national plan, which looks to the mayor since her election, remains distant.

Despite this, Mayor Salis remains optimistic about her tenure and looks forward to continuing to serve the city she loves. The success of her first watch party is a testament to the strong support she has in Genoa and a sign of good things to come.
