Family Transforms Child's Room into Cosy, Functional Haven
A local family has transformed their child's room into a cosy, functional space. The room features a corner gallery wall, a wall-mounted reading lamp, and layers of textiles in a soothing blue-grey hue. The family's personal touch is evident in a framed picture of their child and family, with plans to replace it with a signed picture of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The room's layout is cleverly designed to maximise space. A desk is tucked into a corner, avoiding window obstruction, and a large palm adds a vibrant touch. A clothes rack with storage underneath serves as both a wardrobe and a bedside table, freeing up floor space. The Nordal library lamp, once from the sitting room, now illuminates the room after dark. Simple wooden shelves, painted to match the wall, provide extra storage and are mounted higher up to utilise vertical space.
The room's centrepiece is a 200 cm bed that fits perfectly into the room's width, leaving enough space for a TV at the end. A desk chair, originally from Hungary and found in a local second-hand shop, offers ergonomic comfort with swivel and height adjustment capabilities.
The family's child, Albin, often shares the room with his mother, so storage needs are minimal. The room's transformation not only creates a welcoming atmosphere but also optimises space, making it a perfect haven for Albin and his mother.
