In the heart of Brandenburg, a transformation is underway. The industrial wasteland of Beelitz is being reborn as a modern, family-friendly residential area known as "Mein Beelitz." This new development is not only a significant improvement for the local authorities but also an attractive option for families from urban areas, including Berlin, Potsdam, and the Brandenburg region.

The first sold houses in the second phase of the project are expected to be ready for occupancy by July 2026. The builder of this phase, First Home Wohnbau GmbH, is constructing 18 semi-detached houses, each offering four to five rooms and a living area of between 120 and 140 square meters. These new homes will be built to the Efficiency House 55 standard, ensuring energy efficiency and sustainability.

The new quarter street, "Am Stellwerk," marks another milestone in the project. Its location at the railway crossing posed a high safety risk for high traffic volumes, leading to its closure. Delimited by bollards, the street now forms a cul-de-sac, aiming to prevent the settlement from becoming a through road and to keep it quieter overall. Residents can still reach "Am Stellwerk" on foot or by bike to the Beelitz train station, providing direct connections to Potsdam, Berlin, and the BER airport.

The construction work in the "Mein Beelitz" residential quarter is progressing faster than initially expected. Two private streets in the quarter have been laid out as one-way streets, reserved for future residents, aiming to create a family-friendly and traffic-calmed environment. The nearby natural swimming pool offers residents a place for relaxing outings during the summer months. The Beelitz swimming pool was renovated last year.

The area surrounding "Mein Beelitz" is rich in greenery, with the development located in a landscape protection zone. This means nature is right on the doorstep for residents, providing a tranquil and picturesque setting. The local infrastructure also caters to daily needs, with supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, doctor's practices, kindergartens, and schools all within easy reach.

The previous 3.4-hectare area was used for industrial purposes, including an agrochemical center. Today, the urban eyesore has been eliminated, and "Mein Beelitz" stands as a symbol of progress and renewal.
