Evening Visit to Sissinghurst, Showcasing Troy Scott Smith at Dusk on our Reader Day website
On Sunday, 16th June 2024, an unforgettable event is taking place at an ultimate romantic garden. The day promises a unique experience for garden enthusiasts, with a guided tour led by the head gardener himself, Troy Scott Smith.
The garden, which will be at its peak during the event, boasts a variety of beautiful features, including the White Garden and Rose Garden, the Cottage Garden and Orchard, and the newly created Delos garden by Dan Pearson.
The day begins with a talk from Troy about the garden's history and development, followed by a pre-dinner drink in the garden. Visitors will then embark on a guided tour, learning about the intricate details and design elements that make this garden so special.
After the guided tour, visitors can wander the grounds at their leisure, taking in the beauty and tranquillity of the garden at their own pace. A buffet-style supper is included in the event, offering a chance to relax and socialise with fellow garden lovers.
Following supper, guests are free to explore the gardens again, enjoying the peace and serenity of the garden as the sun sets. The Cottage Garden and Orchard will be exclusive to event guests when the garden has closed for the day.
