European Legislative Body Unites on New Regulation

On September 27, 2020, Goslar's Jakobikirchhof will play host to the Future Festival, a unique event that combines the Sustainability Market and 'We for the Climate' event. The festival, organised under the motto 'sustainably.together.act', is part of the German Action Days for Sustainability, which run from September 18 to October 8, 2020.

The Future Festival is more than just a marketplace. It serves as a platform for various regional organisations from the county of Goslar to showcase their work and projects related to sustainability. Over 30 organisations are expected to participate, offering sustainable products for sale and tips for daily life.

One of the highlights of the festival is the emphasis on social justice as a third pillar of sustainability. Poet Linda Loreen Loose will present texts on sustainability, and live music will be provided by Martin Hampe and singer-songwriter Bernd Krage-Sieber.

Interactive activities will be a key feature of the festival, providing participants with the opportunity to try out new sustainable ideas and create their own. A mini-fair for around 140 students will take place at the MachMit!House on September 26, 2020, introducing children to various environmental themes in an age-appropriate way.

The mini-fair is a collaboration between the Rammelsberg mine, BürgerEnergie Harz e.G., the Kreisvolkshochschule, and city and state forests. The Future Festival will also network with the current intercultural weeks.

The festival will also see the second round of the 'MachMit!Wald' project with the city forest. Tree sponsorships can be purchased at the MachMit!Stand for the new reforestation area in Hahnenklee.

The Future Festival aims to contribute to climate protection by presenting sustainable ideas for daily life. More information about the festival and the complete program can be found online. Join us on September 27, 2020, in Goslar's Jakobikirchhof, and be a part of the future we want to create!
