European Generations Film Fest Kicks Off Oct 1 in Bonn
The European Generations Film Festival is set to commence on October 1, 2025, at the community center of Thomaskirche in Bonn-Röttgen. The event, starting at 3:30 PM, will showcase current German and international feature films and documentaries centered around age, aging, and intergenerational dialogue.
The festival will screen 'In the Taxi with Madeleine' (2022), a film featuring Line Renaud as an older woman taking a taxi ride to a retirement home, stopping at significant locations from her past. After the screening, there will be a discussion with Dr. Almut Heuner, a member of the Evangelical Senior Network RWL and a volunteer at the German Diary Archive in Emmendingen. Dr. Heuner will engage with questions about realistic and positive future expectations to strengthen social cohesion, as part of an event series connected to the Evangelical Forum Bonn and partner academies.
A transport service will be provided for the screenings in Röttgen and Duisdorf, departing at 2:40 PM from the parking lot in front of the Auferstehungskirche. Registration is required for this service.
The European Generations Film Festival invites you to explore themes of age and aging through film, followed by insightful discussions. The event aims to foster intergenerational dialogue and understanding.
