In the heart of the German capital, Berlin's public pools are proving to be a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, especially during the current heatwave. With temperatures reaching 30 degrees or more, the city's swimming facilities have seen a surge in visitors.

Last Saturday, over 34,000 people flocked to Berlin's public pools, a notable increase compared to recent days. This trend continued into Sunday, with approximately 15,000 visitors enjoying a refreshing dip.

However, not all pools are experiencing the same level of popularity. While some facilities show moderate occupancy, indicated by yellow lights, others have sold out their tickets. The Columbiabad in Neukölln, for example, has no more tickets available.

Since the season began, around 760,000 visitors have used Berlin's public pools and the Wannsee Lido. This number is 110,000 more than in the same period last year, demonstrating the growing appeal of these aquatic attractions.

In response to the increased demand, five facilities operated by Berlin's pool operators have seen an increase in occupancy as of late afternoon. Visitors are advised to buy their tickets online, a recommendation echoed by Claudia Blankennagel, the company spokeswoman.

It's important to note that only those with a time slot ticket can enter a pool if the light for that pool is red. This rule applies to holders of multiple cards as well. If there are no online tickets available, a trip to the pool may not be worth it.

Contrastingly, the Wannsee Lido has low occupancy, indicated by a green light. The pool operators are hopeful for more visitors after the gloomy weeks, as the sunny weather continues to draw crowds.

For real-time updates on Berlin public pool occupancy and ticket availability, it is best to check the official Berlin city website or the websites of specific pools. These live data and ticket sales are usually managed by local authorities or pool operators directly.

As the summer heatwave continues, Berlin's public pools remain a vibrant and bustling hub, offering a refreshing escape for those looking to beat the heat.

In the height of the summer heatwave, the public pools in Berlin's home-and-garden spaces have become a sought-after destination for both locals and tourists, with outdoor-living enthusiasts flocking to them for a refreshing lifestyle change. Despite the popularity of some facilities, others, such as the Columbiabad in Neukölln, have sold out their tickets due to high demand.
