Dog Canine Spotted Swimming in Grugabad on October 5th
The German Animal Welfare Federation (Deutscher Tierschutzbund) is organizing a dog swimming event on Sunday, October 5th, 2025, at the Grugabad in Essen. The event will take place from 10 am to 5 pm. All dog owners are invited to bring their pets to enjoy a day of swimming and fun. It's important to note that only dogs are allowed to use the pools during the event. For the safety and well-being of all participants, liability insurance for dog owners is required for the event to cover any damage to the facility or other participants. To participate, dog owners must bring their pets' passports for entry to the pool on October 5th, 2025 at the Grugabad in Essen. It's also recommended that dog owners consult a vet before the event to ensure their pets are in good health and up-to-date with their vaccinations. The rabies vaccination must not be more than one to three years old, depending on the vaccine. The event provides an opportunity to learn about various dog-related products and information, with exhibitors offering dog accessories having stands at the event. Catering will be available for attendees. Spectators, including dog owners without dogs, can watch from the poolside. The Sports and Bathing Operations of Essen wish all guests and their four-legged friends a fun day at the dog swimming event. The wave, non-swimmer, and paddling pools will be exclusively for dogs during the event. The entrance fee for humans is 1 Euro, and it is 2 Euros for dogs.
