Designers to Watch at Rossana Orlandi Gallery's Milan Design Week 2025 Exhibition
In the heart of Milan, from the 7th to the 13th of April 2025, the Rossana Orlandi Gallery played host to RoCollectible 2025, a vibrant exhibition showcasing over 90 designers during Milan Design Week.
The gallery, housed in a former tie factory and surrounded by century-old strawberry grape vines, transformed into a sand-covered exhibition space, offering a unique backdrop for the contemporary works on display. RoCollectible 2025 was curated by Rossana Orlandi and her daughter, Nicoletta Brugnoni, and featured a diverse range of designs that balanced traditional techniques with contemporary aesthetics.
One of the standout exhibitions was 'Come Across' by Yong Nam Kim, which showcased sculptures and installations that elevated traditional Korean furniture. Meanwhile, Lucas Recchia brought his 'Eche' sofa and armchair and 'Morfa' tables to Milan, marking his first foray into collectible design with the handcrafted 'Morfa No.01' table, which took master glass artisans 20 days to create.
Draga & Aurel made a splash with their psychedelic mirrored space during Milan Design Week, while Jacopo Gonzato presented the 'Sound Geometry' collection, large-scale sculptures that function as speakers. Cyryl Zakrzewski's 'Organoid' collection, which featured objects that echoed living matter with their chaotic forms, was another highlight of the exhibition.
The gallery also showcased contemporary Polish design, featuring works by Zofia Sobolewska-Ursic, Formsophy (Alicja Prussakowska and Jakub Kijowski), and Alicja Patanowska. Elsewhere, CrafticaCraftica Gallery debuted at Milan Design Week with the exhibition 'Emotions Passion Burgundy. Artigiani Polacchi'.
Notable absentees from the gallery included Architect Aline Asmar d'Amman, who presented 'The Power of Tenderness' at Milan Design Week 2025, featuring her 'Georgia' lounge seating, 'Béton Littéraire' bookshelves, candy-coloured onyx tables, and more. BCXSY X Lobmeyr also showcased two key lighting projects at RoCollectible 2025, including 'Ground Control' and 'Archive Lights'.
RoCollectible 2025 was a testament to the Rossana Orlandi Gallery's commitment to showcasing cutting-edge contemporary collectibles and featuring a variety of innovative designers and artists.
