Middle Rhine Wine Festival Boppard 2025: A Weekend of Wine, Music, and Celebration
Get ready for a delightful two-weekend extravaganza as the Middle Rhine Wine Festival Boppard returns on September 26-29 and October 3-5, 2025. This year's festival promises an array of activities, including a grand parade, wine tastings, live music, and guided tours in the picturesque vineyards of Boppard.
The festival parade, set to commence from the Electoral Palace at around 4:30 PM on the first day, will make its way along the Rhine Promenade, Karmeliterstraße, Oberstraße, market square, Kronengasse, and end in front of the Volksbank building. Approximately 250 participants, including numerous local associations and groups, will take part in the parade. Around 60 wine queens from the region will also grace the occasion, adding a touch of elegance to the lively procession.
As the parade reaches the market square at around 5 PM, the festivities will officially begin with the opening ceremony by Mayor Jörg Haseneier. Following the opening, glasses can be purchased on-site for 6 euros at the sales stands. A new wine glass, available for purchase in advance for 5 euros, will be presented at this year's festival.
The market square will be the hub of activities, with live music from regional and international bands providing an enjoyable backdrop. Admission to the wine festival on the market square is free on all days.
The Great Boppard Wine Tasting will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Bellevue Rheinhotel. For those seeking a more immersive experience, guided hikes with Riesling brunch and wine hikes in the Bopparder Hamm vineyards will take place on both wine festival Saturdays.
