Bergisch Gladbach to Fell Unstable Robinia Tree on Oct 7, 2025
Bergisch Gladbach's green space maintenance team has scheduled a tree felling operation for Tuesday, October 7, 2025. The target is a Robinia tree at the corner of Dellbrücker Straße and Eschenbroicher Straße, due to safety concerns.
The tree's condition has deteriorated over time, requiring frequent maintenance. Despite efforts, it has developed deadwood and suffered significant damage from fungal infestation. Large areas of its bark have died and peeled off, compromising its stability. The city has decided that felling the tree is now unavoidable to ensure public safety.
On October 7, 2025, the city will fell the unstable Robinia tree at the specified location. This action is taken to maintain safety in the area, as the tree's condition can no longer be guaranteed.
