Autumnal Bliss: City Extends Invitation to Inaugural Wine Festival and Pottery Market on the Central Market Square
The city of Halle is set to host its first ever Wine Festival from the 17th to the 19th of October, 2025. The event will take place on the market square, with the Pottery Market setting up shop on the east side of the square during the same weekend.
The Wine Festival will run from 4 pm to 9 pm on the opening day, Friday, and will extend its hours to 10 am to 9 pm on Saturday, the 18th. On Sunday, the festival will conclude from 11 am to 6 pm.
The festival will feature 15 winemakers and wine merchants, primarily from the Saale-Unstrut/ Freyburg-Unstrut region. Visitors can enjoy a variety of wines, with some winemakers also offering small snacks to complement their offerings.
For coffee lovers, there will be variations available throughout the festival. Tables and chairs are provided for visitors to stay a while and enjoy their drinks.
A small stage will offer musical swing/jazz performances, adding to the festive atmosphere. The culinary offerings at the festival range from hearty dishes to sweet treats.
The Halle Pottery Market will run concurrently with the Wine Festival, but it operates independently of the festival's hours. On Saturday, the Pottery Market will be open from 10 am to 6 pm, and on Sunday, from 11 am to 6 pm. The Pottery Market will feature around 90 professional ceramic workshops.
The Pottery Market will be set up on the east side of the market square, just like the Wine Festival. The Halle Specialty Brewery will also be serving beer at the wine festival.
It's important to note that the Pottery Market hours on Saturday and Sunday do not overlap with the Wine Festival hours. The Pottery Market will be open an hour later than the festival on Saturday, and an hour earlier on Sunday.
The Halle Wine Festival concludes on Sunday, offering a perfect opportunity to spend a relaxing afternoon enjoying wine, music, and pottery in the heart of Halle.
