Aschaffenburg's City Festival Returns with Diverse Music, Food, and Family Fun

Aschaffenburg's annual City Festival returns this year from August 29 to 31, transforming the inner and old town into a vibrant hub of culture and entertainment. The event promises a diverse lineup of music, activities, and culinary delights for all ages.

Kicking off the festival on Friday, August 29, at 7 pm on the Schlossplatz, visitors can enjoy a mix of genres at the new Youth Culture Stage, located at Schönborner Hof, Wermbachstraße 15. On Friday, hip-hop musicians will take the stage, while singer-songwriters, DJs, and bands will perform on Sunday. Radio Galaxy will take over the stage on Saturday from 4 pm.

Over 80 local and regional bands, artists, and comedians will showcase their talents across numerous stages and squares throughout the weekend. Food and drink vendors will be scattered across the festival grounds, ensuring no one goes hungry or thirsty.

The 'Wein Time' event, a new addition to the festival, will be held on the Roßmarkt. Here, winemakers from various regions will offer a taste of their finest news. Meanwhile, the Maulaffenfest, organized by the local cultural association, will take place on Sunday, August 31, at the Hofgarten-Kabarett on the Karlsplatz, marking its 20th anniversary.

Families and children are catered to with play and participate activities on the Sparkasse customer parking lot and Theaterplatz.

The Aschaffenburg City Festival promises a packed weekend of music, culture, and culinary experiences. With a new Youth Culture Stage, the 'Wein Time' event, and the Maulaffenfest celebrating its 20th year, this edition is set to be one of the most memorable yet.
