Almaty resident, Bayan Alaguzova, lodged an appeal
Kazakhstani producer Bayan Alaguzova has addressed the state of Almaty's urban infrastructure, following a distressing incident at a city intersection, as reported by Liter.kz.
Taking to social media, Alaguzova uploaded a video illustrating a hazardous roadway at the crossroads of Zhubanova and Utegenov streets, with a sizable hole that had even engulfed part of the curb. Expressing her concern, she remarked, "Someone driving at night will undoubtedly damage their wheel."
In her caption, she appealed to the district's local authorities to expedite repairs and promptly address the hazardous road section, while tagging Almaty Maslikhat deputy Karashash Dzhuseev on the post. Emphasizing the urgency, she exclaimed, "I implore the district's akim to swiftly fix this disaster."
Liter.kz later received a statement from the Auezov District Akimat apparatus, asserting that a contracting organization has been assigned the task of repairing the road defect by June 5 of this year.
Alaguzova has previously spoken out about the city's infrastructure, criticizing its upkeep and encouraging local authorities to take sufficient measures. Furthermore, participants of the beauty pageant "Qazaq Aruy" organized a clean-up event in Almaty, with Alaguzova emphasizing the importance of action rather than just words when demonstrating respect and affection for one's hometown.
Alaguzova, driven by her concern for public safety, also highlighted the need for immediate attention to the home-and-garden aspect of the city's lifestyle, specifically mentioning the deplorable state of Zhubanova and Utegenov streets. In the spirit of Qazaq Aruy's clean-up event, she urged the district's local authorities to not only address the hazardous road section but also maintain the overall home-and-garden aesthetics of Almaty, believing it to be a reflection of its inhabitants' lifestyle.
