A gathering of speedboats on the Aase river
On Sunday, June 1st, the Aasee is set for a unique pedal-powered event. Instead of bicycles, participants will be using pedal boats for a rally organized by the Yachtschule Overschmidt and MÜNSTER ARKADEN. The event, themed "Hit the water - Pedal for a good cause," aims to raise funds for the Children's Neurology Help, an organization supporting and counseling families with children suffering from neurological disorders.
Teams participating in the rally will pedal their way through challenges and answer questions. The top five teams will be awarded prizes by the MÜNSTER ARKADEN and the Yachtschule Overschmidt. The rally will take place from 11 am to 1 pm, and online registration with the Yachtschule Overschmidt is still open. The registration fee is €5 per person, while children under 14 can join for free.
Münster, known for its cycling culture, also houses Kavenz HQ, a test center for bicycles, attesting to its vibrant biking community. The Pedal Boat Rally is an uncommon event in the area but promises an exciting and charitable day on the water.
Teams engaged in the Pedal Boat Rally will experience a fusion of outdoor-living and competition, navigating challenges and answering questions in a unique setting. For those who love other lifestyle pursuits, such as home-and-garden enthusiasts, this event offers a refreshing change, merging waterfront charm with charitable support for a worthy cause.
